This “LOVE” wall sign was originally part of the same set of mirrored decorative letters brought over from South Africa. After being damaged in transit, the mirror surface was carefully removed by chipping away the tiles and grinding the surface back smooth, before being sanded and fully prepared for repainting.
The piece was then primed with gesso and painted in a soft, contemporary pink base colour.
To elevate the design, modern floral forms were created digitally in Illustrator, then precision laser cut in vinyl and applied to the surface of the lettering. This adds a clean, graphic layer that contrasts with the soft painted base, giving the piece a more contemporary, design-led feel.
Once complete, the entire piece was sealed with two protective coats of varnish to preserve the finish and ensure durability.
Fitted with hanging hooks on the back, this piece is ready to display and works beautifully as a statement feature in bedrooms, hallways, or living spaces.
