This “WISH” wall sign originally came from a set of mirrored decorative letters brought over from South Africa. The mirror surface was badly damaged during transit, so the reflective layer was carefully chipped away and ground down before the whole piece was sanded smooth and prepared.
Once refinished, the surface was sealed with gesso and painted in a deep, rich blue to create a calm night-sky base. The front has been hand-painted with soft clouds and scattered stars, giving it a gentle celestial feel.
Along each side, uplifting quotes have been stencilled and hand-painted:
“Wishes are possibilities” on one side, and “Dare to make a wish” on the other.
The piece is finished with a protective varnish to seal the paintwork and add durability, and comes fitted with hanging hooks on the back, ready to display.
